Virtual Interconnect Days 2020

We can’t meet up on the beach this year, but that’s no reason why we can’t see each other, have fun, catch up on the news, and make a new connection or two.

We have always prided ourselves on offering a welcoming, laid back atmosphere for meeting up, and this year’s virtual event is designed to keep that spirit alive – from the comfort of your favorite chair!

The event will run throughout the evening, and the introductions and speeches will take less than an hour. But there will be plenty of news and surprises, including the ambitious plans we and our partners have for the event in future. The kick-off will also feature a star guest giving his own unique and amusing take on what has been going on in our industry over this last bizarre year. Then, after that first hour, it’s all social.

Virtual networking opportunities

We normally welcome over 600 people to our two-day event, with representatives from many countries and every part of the Interconnection landscape. Hardcore programmers and engineers, C-level strategists and marketeers, network designers and managers, data center operators, cloud and content players, and industry associations. Everyone is welcome. With a shorter format and no travel costs to worry about, we expect the mix to be just as rich and interesting this year.

The virtual platform we are using will make the most of this variety to bring people with similar interests together. During the social section we will shuffle people up based on companies and sectors and the topics you show an interest in at registration. One-on-one meeting maker slots can be set up, and if you want a more random and sociable approach that works too.

So, if you want to reconnect, talk to like-minded people, exchange information and do some business without needing to catch a plane and book a hotel, all you need to do is Register.

One of the topics we will be covering is our exciting plans for Neutral Interconnect Days over the coming years.

Without giving too much away, we can say that we have put together an all-new structure and Program Committee to take the event to the next level. As well as NL-ix itself, the team includes representatives from RIPE NCC; the DHPA; Juniper Networks; LONAP and Telia.

We will tell you more online, but we can say we are very confident that the new structure and partnerships we have put in place will help us tap into new areas of the fast-evolving global interconnection landscape, ensuring the future of Neutral Interconnect Days as Europe’s leading interconnection event.
